Hi Babzy, Thanks for your comment on my blog - the lichen I photographed look like the same kind as the greenish ones in this photo. I think the little "cups" that are standing up so nicely in my photo are what is called the "fruiting bodies" of the lichen.
Your photos of Iceland are really stunning. What a place!
