Nest

The building is planed to be demolish in september, many swallows nest under the roof , in order to keep the birds in the aera , they built this nest tower and it works ! Protection of birds in the city is very important !

First anniversary celebrating the Vauban's Fortifications inscribed on the world heritage list !
Tout commence en Musique .... Besançon fête le premier anniversaire de l’inscription du patrimoine Vauban à l’Unesco !
Everthing begins with music !

Puis de beaux discours , ici notre Maire Jean-louis Fousseret !

Eloquent speeches , here you can see the Mayor of Besançon !

Dans la joie nos élus ,la présidente de région ainsi que Madame Colonna ambassadrice de France à l'UNESCO nous présente la certication authentique de l'UNESCO concernant le patrimoine Vauban.

Her is certificate , you can see the joy on the face of our political personalities :)

Enfin la plaque est dévoilée et tous se pressent curieux , la plaque se trouve devant l’entrée de l’hôtel de ville. Façonnée dans une fonderie de Franche-Comté ,elle pèse 410 kg !
At last the plaque (tablet)is revealed to the curious, it weighs 410kgs !

Le texte gravé en lettres d'or en français , anglais et allemand , est foulé au pied par les visiteurs .

Carved and written in golden letters in french , english and german , time to be overrided by visitors ...

I don't know if this is specific to France but here no market without shopping trolleys !
