They extracted the rootstocks of the "Renoué du Japon " an exotic and very invasive plant!La Renoué du Japon est une plante exotique introduite au 17ième siècle , elle a une énorme capacité à se reproduire et est très invasive , ces personnes arrachent les rhizomes à la main , il est très difficile d'en venir à bout !

RépondreSupprimerThose invaders are so pesky and at times so pretty. Palos Verdes is now mostly non-native plants. I helped remove ice-plant and other invasive plants at the wetlands south along the coast. Now when I hike, I keep spotting those troublemakers and wish to pull them all out.
I didn't know about this, how curious and a bit risky...
